Dutch Circle of Slide Rule Collectors

Summary

After its founding in 1991, the Dutch Circle has grown to an informal group of about 60 collectors, with as goals:

1. mutual support of Circle members in collecting and research
2. spreading general knowledge and awareness of the historical importance of the slide rule

We want to achieve these objectives by publishing our magazine “MIR", by organizing meetings, attending collectors' markets, publication of books, catalogues, interviews, and through contacts maintained with groups of like-minded collectors at home and abroad.

At the end of 2004, the Circle area of interest was widened and the name changed to: Circle Historical Calculating Instruments (Kring Historische Rekeninstrumenten)
