Data:
- ARISTO 10174 Strahlenschutzrechenschieber.
Question:
- What is the indicated cursor mark used for?
Is this the original cursor?
Many ARISTO 10174's do not show the extra mark: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7] but the one shown on the ARC site does have this cursor mark and maybe the one in the OS Newsletter Jan. 2015 as well. Andries de Man
The cursor is quite new — the arrows on the bottom of the cursor indicate that this cursor can be easily removed; this was a comparatively late facility provided by Aristo for their rules.
The 10174 was first manufactured in 1958 so I think it's possible that the cursor is not the original for this rule.
The mark itself is typical of the mark used for evaluating areas/diameters of a circle on many rules. Rod Lovett via groups.io
